Bridging Nations, Strengthening Brotherhood:
A Historic Knighthood at the Knights of Rizal

Manila, Philippines – In a day filled with solemnity, pride, and historic meaning, the Knights of Rizal International Headquarters welcomed eight new brothers into its esteemed ranks during a knighthood ceremony. The induction honored Andrew O. Maquiling, Joonyoung An, Wonseok Lee, Sungyong Yoon, Dongkul Lee, Daejoong Kim, Jungpok Lee, and Eunhoon Park—men recognized for their steadfast commitment to service, cultural unity, and leadership within their communities.

More than an induction, the ceremony also marked a defining moment for the Order in Korea: the formal establishment of its third Knights of Rizal chapter. At the heart of this milestone is Sir Yongsoo Samuel Cho, KCR, whose unwavering dedication and vision have brought together and strengthened the Knights’ presence across the Korean peninsula. Under his stewardship, the three chapters now stand unified, symbolizing not only organizational growth but also the deepening bonds of brotherhood across nations.

In recognition of his exemplary leadership, Sir Yongsoo Samuel Cho has been officially appointed Area Commander of South Korea — a role that reflects the Order’s trust in his ability to guide, inspire, and expand Rizalian ideals beyond borders. His appointment is more than a title; it is a testament to his integrity, perseverance, and commitment to building a legacy of unity and service.

The event was not merely ceremonial. It was a reaffirmation of shared values, a strengthening of cross-cultural brotherhood, and a clear reminder of the enduring relevance of Dr. José Rizal’s ideals in an interconnected world. The presence of leaders, supporters, and fellow knights amplified the weight of the occasion, underscoring the spirit of unity that continues to guide the Order.

For IEK HQ Philippines Holdings, Inc., the ceremony stands as a meaningful milestone — one that mirrors the company’s mission of empowering Philippine enterprises through strategic collaboration with Korea. Sir Yongsoo Samuel Cho’s leadership and the Knights’ expanding presence in Korea serve as a living embodiment of IEK’s vision: to be a bridge for innovation, trust, and sustainable growth between two dynamic nations.

“This is more than the formation of a chapter; it is the continuation of a legacy in motion,” Sir Yongsoo Samuel Cho shared with deep gratitude, extending heartfelt appreciation to the Supreme Council led by Supreme Commander Sir Raymundo A. Del Rosario, KGCR, and to Sir Reghis M. Romero II, KGCR, for their steadfast support.

Through his leadership, Sir Yongsoo Samuel Cho is not only strengthening the Knights of Rizal in Korea but also advancing a vision where Rizal’s timeless ideals inspire unity, cultural synergy, and mutual progress for generations to come.
